Crocheted Cucco

A little while ago it was my best friend's birthday, and beside all the other presents we (group of friends and I) bought her, I wanted to make her a crocheted plushie, as she liked the penguin I made for one of our friends so much. Because she is a big 'Legend of Zelda'-fan, and especially likes how the Cuccos always attack Link once he attacks one of them, I decided to make her a Cucco.

Of course (even though some might disagree), a Cucco is nothing more than a chicken, so I had to find a crochet pattern for a chicken. Luckily I came across one on my Pinterest feed. However, the blog was in Spanish, and the pattern was in Japanese. Luckily it was in a diagram form, so I could follow it. For those of you that don't like reading diagrams I have translated it below.

Materials
- White wool for the body, tail, and wings
- Red wool for the wattle and the comb
- Orange/yellow wool for the beak
- Black wool, thread or beads for the eyes
- (Wool) Toy filling
- Crochet hook sufficient for the wool used, I used a 4.0 hook
- Needle with large eye to sew all the parts together
